My studio has been a busy place and I’m LOVING it!
I have really been enjoying Bible Journaling these last few weeks and the designs that have flowed out of this creative and reflective time spent with the Lord have not only deeply spoken to my heart but also inspired me to transform one of these designs into a painting on canvas!
The above Bible page was my inspiration…
and I LOVE how it turned out… including the scallops along the sides!
The painting measures 8″x24″ so will be a bit of challenge to offer as a frameable print but am hoping to have some mounted prints in the days to come if anyone is interested.

Thank you for sharing your Valentine’s Day story. I love your art and your obvious love for our Lord. Many blessings, Joy Haustead, Australia
Oh, and I adore your new artwork too.
I love your “HEART”! Thank-You !
Love your painting! Your creations are so soft and peaceful. I love the whimsical touch and yes, I do love the scalloped edges also! I guess I just love love love your work! 🙂
Love the painting, so gorgeous! And I agree completely with your point of view on Valentine’s Day!
Beautiful Karla, your talents and love for the Lord are so encouraging! I am loving these Bible Journaling Tags so much! I am tucking one in each of my encouragement baskets that I am giving to those who are going through a tough time.
Thanks!
Love the talent that God has blessed you with! Your heart is full of love for Him and His word. Thank you so much for sharing your gifts. I help at a church making crafts to sell at a church craft fair and all the proceeds go to missionary. How can I get permission to use your prints to make book marks?
I’ve been reading some sappy quotes about ‘love’ and realizing that that kind of romantic affection is not the Love of 1 Corinthians 13. THAT Love is an action, a decision, a commitment. I couldn’t agree more that it is worth more than flowers that wilt and chocolate that ends up on the thighs. My hubby’s Valentine sport is to find a card and write a message in it that will make me cry. That is not hard to do. But I do have 25 years of sincere messages of love to hold on to for the other 364 days of the year! <3
Thank you Joy… can I come visit you? You’re in the middle of summer aren’t you? 🙂
Thanks Jo… you are so encouraging!
Thanks Carolyn… it is fun to add the whimsical touches… so glad you like it!
Thank you Michelle… so glad we can have God’s perspective… loving everyday is so much more fulfilling! Bless you!
You are always so encouraging Evangeline!! What a great idea! I’m sure the recipients are blessed not just with the baskets but with your love that goes into each one!! Bless you my friend!
If you are selling them to raise money for missions… you have my permission for sure. I love being a part of other people’s ministries… so Lord bless you and yours! Sending hugs!
Oh my goodness Jennifer… that is sooooo sweet! Your hubby is a romantic to write such heart-moving messages to his sweetheart! You are a blessed woman for sure!
Sending love and hugs your way my friend!
Been a long time since we’ve ‘talked’. I was briefly in Vancouver in September for Chuck’s Memorial Service there after the one here in July. Then a few days at Christmas with my kids. But life has been free on another level and God has been opening some amazing doors and doing some incredible stuff! would love to sit and talk over T! Think of you soooo often and so happy to still get your wonderful talent – such a pleasure to look at and give as gifts. God has done amazing things in and thro you and so glad we met.xoxox
I do love your designs. I was wondering if you have any bookmarks that have a verse/verses from I John at all? I’m leading a Bible study with 30 women, and would love to bless them with a bookmark with your art work at the end of the study. If not, I’ll go ahead with the Luke 1-4 ones, but figured I’d ask.
Karla, your work is so beautiful! God has blessed you with a wonderful talent!
Love that you had to put someone else down in order to feel better about yourself and your circumstances. Couldn’t just be happy for the young lady that her husband was finally doing something nice for her? You felt bad about your marriage and the only way to feel better about it was to compare with a worse one, good for you!
Reminder, it is a commandment not to covert your neighbor. Instead of repenting for being jealous, you blindly thanked God for letting you “not be like her”. Hard to show love to someone when you’re busy being jealous and judge-y of them.
You make my heart smile with your beautiful praises to God.
Beautiful! Your style is so uplifting!
