Free Color Chart and Colored Pencil Video Tutorial

It didn’t take me long after I started using colored pencils to realize that the colors you saw on the paper were not always the colors of the outside of the pencil itself. I knew if I was going to keep myself from getting frustrated I would need a way to tell at a glance what color I was really getting. I went to the internet and found nothing that perfectly suited my needs so… voila.. of course… I created my own.

Perfect for any brand…

What I like about mine is that it has empty blank spaces allowing you to enter the color number and name of whatever brand and collection of pencils you might have. I own a few different brands so this really has been a great resource.

color-chart-blank

See your colors at a glance…

I designed it with the coloring area divided into four spaces. This allows you to lay down your color with the very lightest pressure first… adding pressure and layers block by block across the space so again… you can tell at a glance… what your color options are going to be before you start on your project. You’ll see there’s a lot of variety to choose from.  My favorite colored pencils and the ones I used here and in the video are PrismaColor Premiers and a set of 72 should be perfect for all your needs.color-chart-sample

Color Pencil Tips |Video Tutorial…

Okay… just so you know… videos are not my strength. And… I do not claim to be an expert at anything… including colored pencils. But I am willing to share what I do know with the hope that your colored pencil experience will always be enjoyable and most satisfying.  And who knows… maybe I’ll become more comfortable with video as time goes along… and I might even show my face. Or not!  haha!  Enjoy…

Download your own free chart here…

It has been such a blessing to me to have this handy resource that I wanted to pass it along to you as a gift… and you can download it here.

I also discovered that lantanas symbolize fierce love and wild energy! Oh goodness… wild energy seems so long ago! Haha! But what joy is ours when we are fiercely in love with the Lord! Amen?

Hmmm… I was thinking about adding a pattern to the tablecloth but maybe a verse about love would be better. Any suggestions?
