Stars and Stripes Coloring Page
Having company over for your Fourth of July celebration? Needing a little hands-on project for the kiddos… or maybe even for the grown-up girls?  Here’s a little Stars and Stripes Coloring Page that will hopefully be a added blessing to your family and friends get together!

Download your FREE Coloring Page here.

Stars and Stripes Colored

This was a fun design to color but I must admit… I had to think it through because of using such a limited color selection.

The colors I chose were both Prismacolor Premiers and a few Faber-Castel Polychromos … I love the quality and richness of their colors!

Red… PC923 Scarlet Lake
Browns… PC944 Terra Cotta (for shading the red and in her hair) and PC945 Sienna Brown
Yellows… FC9201-108 Dark Cadmium and PC1034 Goldenrod
Flesh… PC997 Beige
Blues… FC9201-149 Bluish Turquoise and FC9201-246 Prussian Blue

But seriously… the color palette is simple so play with whatever you have handy… including crayons… or print it on watercolor paper and play with paints!  Just have fun!!

I would love to see photos of your Stars and Stripes coloring… either your finished piece or a photo of the kids or girls around the table coloring… so please take a pic and tag it with #starsandstripescoloring and @karladornacher so I can check out your coloring fun!

Ahhh… and modern technology… it can be such a challenge and yet so much fun! Sometimes I think I’m too old to jump into another new high tech adventure but.. here it is… my very first attempt at sharing a video… what do you think?  I made it to inspire you and make you smile… and I would love your feedback… do it again or not? Color pencil?  Bible Journaling? Hand-Lettering?  Drawing?

Happy Fourth of July my friends!
Celebrate… Give Thanks… and Party on!!  xoxo

I love to set Bible Scripture out around my home that reflect the current holiday and the verse, “You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free” is just perfect for celebrating our the 4th of July and like you said, more importantly, the freedom we have because of Jesus!

This printable is a beautiful reminder in our home of Who is truly in control. And it serves as a visual reminder to pray for our nation’s leaders – no matter the circumstances, or the leaders. II Chronicles 7:14. Thank you, Karla, for ‘standing in the gap’ even when you may not be aware of it. God’s anointing be upon you as you share His gifts!:)

“When God sends you where you don’t want to go “When God sends you where you don’t want to go” is the title of my latest newsletter. I think you’ll be encouraged by it if you haven’t read it already.

I also included a free coloring page of the above art as a prayer prompt for you to color.

Merry Christmas my friends!! Jesus came as the Pr Merry Christmas my friends!!

Jesus came as the Prince of Peace but He also came as the King of Kings! He was not born to become a King… He already was one. It is almost unfathomable to consider that His royal reign as Prince and King began long before He entered this world.

Even more amazing is that He was willing to lay aside His heavenly robes and put on the humble garment of human flesh for us… for you and me.

The King walked among us so we could see Him and touch Him. So we could know Him and love Him. So we could believe in Him and allow Him to rule and reign over our hearts in love and peace.

Jesus is King… He always has been and always will be… and He was born in a manger so we could know that His Kingdom is not about what we have or what we don’t have. It’s not about wearing royal robes or buying expensive gifts. God‘s Kingdom is about putting on the garments of love and humility and giving ourselves to care for others. That’s what Jesus did and he became like us so we could become like him. That’s the Christmas we celebrate.

I pray your celebration overflows with the love and peace that Christ came to give us.

Love you my friends xoxo
Did you remember to turn the last page of your 202 Did you remember to turn the last page of your 2024 calendar? I can hardly believe it’s December… but what Good News we get to celebrate this month. And what a good word for this month… “do not be afraid”! Oh how we need to hear that! Amen? And why no fear? Because we have Jesus Christ the Lord as our Savior… and better yet… He has us! Thank You Jesus!

Thank You Lord! Life has been a bit crazy the past Thank You Lord! Life has been a bit crazy the past week or so but I’m so thankful God is with us in the crazy as well as the calm! Amen?

I just added these full color printable bookmarks to my Etsy shop. The “color your own” version has been available for a while but I finally set my heart to recreate them in color and I’m so happy with how they turned out! I was thinking how nice they might be at each place setting as you gather family and friends for Thanksgiving. Or even as a small way of saying thank you to the women who show up for your Bible study or book club every week. I love being able to create things that help you share your faith and glorify the Lord!

It’s been good timing for me to stay focused on these verses too. I’ve been struggling with neck and back pain again and wanting to stay thankful as I’m now working with a pain doctor and physical therapist. Plus life has just felt so hard lately. Challenges in every direction. I’ll spare you the details because I’m guessing you have your own list. Right?

But the amazing thing about God’s Word is that has the potential to change our hearts and minds… if we let it. If we count our blessings… we discover the blessings far outnumber the hard things… and our hearts are stirred to give thanks! And… if we let the hard things actually draw us closer to the Lord… that’s another blessing… and we become even more thankful knowing that He is with us in the midst of it all.

So… even though I’ve disappointed in myself for not showing up here as much as I’d like to… I’m thankful I get to at all!! And thankful for those of you who are joining me on the same crazy faith adventure!

Praise God from whom all blessings flow! Amen? Amen!

Love you my friends! xoxo

PS… you can find this printable collection in my Etsy shop. The link is in my bio. Thank you for your love and support!
I love my courtyard!! I would never have imagined I love my courtyard!! I would never have imagined living in such a unique and beautiful setting… so much more than I could have asked for or imagined… and God definitely gets all the glory! I still get teary eyed thinking about how good He has been to me here. My heart overflows with thanksgiving!

And that collection of outdoor furniture makes me so happy… and thankful! My daughter gave me one of the loveseats and a chair. I just needed to buy new cushions. But they come in pairs so I went on the hunt for another chair with the same size cushions and discovered it’s not a normal size. I kept praying and looking on FB Marketplace to no avail and came so close to buying a new one… which I only found one the right size so it wasn’t cheap. I kept praying and waiting. And I’m sure you can imagine how excited I was when I found this collection of another loveseat, two chairs, and the table. Yep… on FB Marketplace… all for only $150! Again… thank You Lord!! And… I was going to have to make two or three trips to get it all home but the sweetest seller offered to deliver it all for me for free… which, of course, I paid her for anyway. But another blessing! Blessing on top of blessing!!

They all need a fresh coat of paint… including the white glider which was already here… but so worth it. And I know God has not given me this place just for me… but to share with whoever He brings my way. I don’t know yet what that will look like but He does and I’m excited to see it unfold in the days ahead.

And from where I sit in the mornings for my quiet time, I get to enjoy all my feathered friends who come to visit! I’ll share more of them later.

So for today… I am grateful for how the Lord has turned my sorrow into joy… and in so many ways through His Presence and His provision… including my new life here in Tucson, AZ. Thank You Lord.

As you count your blessings today… how has God’s Presence and provision impacted your life lately? I’d love to know.

Love you my friends and thank you for being here and for allowing me to share this crazy God adventure together with you! xoxo
